Bryan Bowman has an extensive background in many different types of percussion and has been playing for 20+ years. He grew up in western Pennsylvania playing a standard drum kit in local punk rock bands. Upon moving to Washington, DC, Bryan began exploring ethnic drumming styles on the doumbek and darbuka and has been actively performing with the local bellydance troops. He also has become an avid electronicist and recently released three free EPs of live, uncut, unedited electronic improvisations.

When performing with Wytold, Bryan accents, emphasizes, and responds to innovative cello rhythms on a variety of percussive acoustic instruments and occasionally electronics. He also plays a mean darbuka solo. To learn more about Bryan's musical explorations and to download his free EPs, check out http://bryanbowman.tumblr.com/.
